Babies Day at the Capitol
Thursday I took the babies on a field trip. We got all dressed up and went up to visit Grandpa and Grandma at the Capitol. The twins got to meet many new people including several Representatives and Senators who thought they were the cutest twins there is. Everyone loved the twins and were excited to hold them and play with them. Grandpa was very busy with a bill that was coming up but he was very excited to take a break and play with the twins for a bit. The twins were very happy and smiled a lot. They talked to everyone that held them and were constantly looking around at this new surrounding. Even though it took over 4 hours to get us ready and out the door we had fun on our outing.

DC here we come
Well it is official. We will be going to Washington DC in May where Charlie will be honored in a memorial ceremony where his name will be placed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial. We are very excited for the trip and for the babies first trip. It will be a challenge taking them all over DC but I'm very excited to go. My entire family will be joining us as well as 3 officers who worked with Charlie. We will also be attending the State Memorial where his name will be added as well. Charlie will be the first inductee into the state memorial. It's going to be a busy couple months for us but we are ready for the adventure. A very cool video of last years Candlelight vigil in DC is posted on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InSTKUj_d9Q9Q).

Starting the Adventure of Blogging
Well today is the Twin's 4 month birthday and I decided its about time we had our Blog. My twins are so great I don't know what I'd do without them and they are growing fast everyday. Of course this is my most favorite picture of my twins. They were very lucky to have such a great dad. We miss him very much everyday, but I am glad he got to spend those first 3 weeks with the twins. I know the twins will grow to know about the amazing dad they had, and know that he continues to watch over them every day. Stay tuned for more updates of a day in the life of the Skinner Twins.
